OPEN ACCESS POLICY

El-'Adl: Islamic Economic Law Review

El-'Adl: Islamic Economic Law Review provides immediate open access to its published scholarly content in order to support wider dissemination, accessibility, academic exchange, and the development of knowledge in the field of Islamic Economic Law.

Through its open access policy, the journal seeks to ensure that published articles can be accessed by scholars, students, practitioners, policymakers, institutions, and the wider public without unnecessary barriers to scholarly communication.

1. Open Access Principle

Articles published in El-'Adl: Islamic Economic Law Review are made available openly through the journal's official platform.

The journal supports the principle that free and responsible access to scholarly research can encourage broader academic participation, improve the circulation of knowledge, strengthen scholarly dialogue, and increase the social and academic impact of research.

Open Access Commitment: Readers may access published articles through the journal website without requiring subscription-based access.

4. Attribution Requirement

Any reuse, redistribution, quotation, adaptation, translation, or other use of material published by El-'Adl must provide appropriate attribution to the original author(s) and the original source of publication.

Appropriate attribution should normally include the author name, article title, journal title, publication details, and DOI where available.

Attribution Principle: Open access does not eliminate the obligation to acknowledge authorship, citation, and intellectual contribution.

5. ShareAlike Requirement

When published material is adapted, transformed, or developed into derivative work, the resulting work must be distributed under the same license or under conditions compatible with the ShareAlike requirement of CC BY-SA 4.0.

This requirement is intended to preserve openness and ensure that derivative scholarly materials remain accessible under comparable open licensing conditions.

6. Author Rights and Scholarly Use

Authors retain recognition as the creators of their scholarly work and must be appropriately credited whenever their published work is cited, reproduced, redistributed, or adapted.

Authors may use their published articles for scholarly and educational purposes, subject to the journal's copyright policy and the applicable Creative Commons license.

7. Open Access and Publication Charges

Open access refers to the accessibility of published content to readers and is separate from the journal's Article Processing Charge (APC).

The journal may apply an Article Processing Charge to support article processing, DOI activation, and publication. Such a charge does not restrict readers from accessing published content through the journal's open access platform.

8. Educational and Scholarly Dissemination

The journal encourages the responsible use of published articles in academic teaching, scholarly discussion, research activities, institutional repositories, academic presentations, and other legitimate educational or research contexts, provided that attribution and licensing requirements are respected.

9. Responsibility of Users

Users of journal content are responsible for ensuring that any reuse of published materials complies with the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license, intellectual property law, academic citation practices, and other relevant legal or ethical requirements.
