Abstract

Transactions using the Shopeepay digital wallet are often chosen because of the convenience it offers, such as promos, fast processing and practicality. This makes consumers tend to continue using it. This research aims to 1) Find out the Shopeepay usage model and its impact on the consumer behavior of Sharia Economic Law students, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Indonesian Muslim University, and 2) Provide a better understanding of financial management from an Islamic perspective, especially related to digital payments. The type of research used was quantitative with data collection through questionnaires and purposive sampling techniques, involving 90 respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity, reliability, linearity tests, simple linear regression, and hypothesis testing with SPSS version 27. The research results showed that Shopeepay had a significant effect on student consumer behavior, as proven by hypothesis testing (T Test). Even though the use of Shopeepay among students is very good, this has given rise to consumerist behavior, such as a lack of consideration of the function of goods, excessive consumption, prioritizing wants over needs, and the absence of a priority scale. Therefore, this consumptive behavior needs to be minimized so that students can be wiser in using digital wallets
